Membership Levels and Dues

Active (Professional LMT) Membership  -  $100 per year
An active member is licensed in Massage Therapy by The University of the State of New York .  Any member accepted into the Society shall enjoy full membership privileges and be designated as an active member.  Active members shall be provided with a membership card for the purpose of identification and voting.

Affiliated Membership  -  $100 per year
Associate membership is granted to anyone who belongs to a medical or paramedical profession, as well as to any Massage Therapist living outside the State of New York who has graduated from a Massage Therapy program recognized by the State of New York . Such individuals shall enjoy all privileges of membership except that of voting.  Persons holding a current New York License are eligible only for active membership.

Student Membership  -  $50 per year
Any student currently enrolled in a Massage Therapy program accredited by the New York State Department of Education will be accepted under this status.  The student shall be considered for active membership when passing the New York State licensing examination.  Graduates not yet licensed shall be categorized as student members.

Senior Membership  -  $50 per year
Any member who has reached his/her 65th birthday shall be honored with a senior membership and shall be allowed the privilege of a reduction in her/his yearly dues as designated by the Board of Directors.

Honorary Membership
A non-member or the member who has performed outstanding service for the profession of Massage Therapy, may be considered eligible for honorary membership in the Society, without voting privileges.  Each recommendation must be screened and approved by the Board of Directors.

School Membership  -  $100 per year
Any school currently offering a Massage Therapy program accredited by the New York State Department of Education will be accepted under this status.   

Corporate/Business Membership - $100 per year
Minimum enrollment of 5+ employees receives a 25% discount for each employee.

Membership Dues
New members are accepted throughout the year.  Annual membership begins when payment is processed.

Membership Renewals
Payment is due no later than 45 days following your membership anniversary date. Notice shall be sent to members 30 days prior to their membership renewal date by the Membership Secretary. As of 30th date past the member's anniversary date delinquent notices shall be sent, and if no payment is received by 15 days later, the member will be stricken from the roster.
